Happy Friday Eve! Welcome to another week with the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop Krew. This week we were challenged to create a card using a sketch and I used Stampin’ Up Pretty Poinsettia Bundle. I used non traditional Christmas colors to create this elegant card.

Here is this week’s sketch:

I started by dry embossing a panel of Barely Blush cardstock with Stampin’ Up Softly Woven Embossing Folder. I adhered a panel of Stampin’ Up Creative Celebrations Mix N Match DSP to the embossed panel. I adhered the layers to a Hydrangea Hue card base.

I die cut several poinsettia petal dies from Stampin’ Up Pretty Poinsettia to build the flower. Once I die cut them, I left them in the dies and ran them through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss with an Impression Mat to get a deeper impression. I created the poinsettia by adhering the different size petals with liquid adhesive. I die cut a piece of Silver Foil for the flower centers and adhered to the flower.
I die cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam card stock with the leaf die from Pretty Poinsettia. I repeated the process with the Impression Mat to get more detail.

I adhered the flower and leaf to the card front with liquid adhesive.
Using my Hot Foil System, I created the sentiment with Stampin’ Up Magical Christmas Hot Foil Dies using Silver Foil on Secret Sea cardstock. I die cut the sentiment and adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I finished the front off with a few gems from Stampin’ Up Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes.

The inside is a panel of Basic White card stock. I stamped the sentiment from Stampin’ Up Frosted Pinecone Stamp Set with Secret Sea ink. I adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom of the stamped panel and layered it with a Barely Blush mat prior to adhering to the Hydrangea Hue card base.
