Stampin' Up Shining Christmas Merriest Trees Stamp A Stack Christmas Card by Tarabeth Stamps

I created these cards last night on my weekly Facebook live.  This was my first attempt at a Stamp A Stack cards technique.  Overall it was a success, however it was not without its trouble… Check out the video if you want a laugh.  However, my mistake will help you if this is a first for you as well.

Here’s the video:

This technique results in 4 cards and matching envelopes in a little over 30 minutes.  I am sure you can decrease how long it takes the more you make.

I started out by cutting all the cardstock.  I cut 2 sheets of Cherry Cobbler at 4 1/4″ creating 4 card bases measuring 4 1/4″ x 11″.  I scored each card base at 5 1/2″ after I cut the bases.

I cut the mats next.  I cut 1/2″ off  of 8 1/2″ x 11″ Mossy Meadow card stock at the top and the side.  I then cut the panels into 4 pieces measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″.

I stacked 4 different patterns of Stampin’ Up Shining Christmas DSP and cut them in 6″ x 6″ stacks.  I cut 2 1/4″ off one side.  This will leave a 3 3/4″ x 6″ piece.  I then cut the 4 pieces to measure 3 3/4″ x 5″.  I set the 2 1/4″ x 6″ pieces to the side for the envelope flaps.  I then cut all four pieces on the 3 3/4″ side at 2 1/2″.  I then turned the 2 1/2″ x 5″ at 3 3/4″.  The thinner strip I cut at 1 3/4″.

The most important part of this step is to keep the paper stacked in the same order.

Label your stacks 1, 2, 3 and 4.  Starting with stack one take the top piece and put it on the bottom.  Stack 2 remove the top 2 pieces and put them in back.  Stack 3 remove the top 3 and put them on the back.

Adhere the pieces to the Mossy Meadow mat with Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the layers to a Cherry Cobbler card base.

I die cut a piece of Old Olive with the second largest Christmas tree die from Stampin’ Up Merriest Trees Dies.  I stamped the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink.  I adhered the tree to each card front with Stampin’ Dimensioanls.

I die cut stars from Stampin’ Up Distressed Gold Paper.  I adhered each star to the trees with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped trees using Stampin’ Up Merriest Trees Stamp Set using Mossy Meadow and Old Olive ink in the corner of Basic White panels.  I stamped the sentiment with Mossy Meadow ink.  I adhered the inside panel using Stampin’ Seal.

For each envelope, I stamped the tree as I did on the inside using Mossy Meadow and Old Olive ink on the corner of each envelope.

I adhered the remains DSP to the flap and fussy cut each flap.
