Stampin’ Up Bee My Valentine Love You Card for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Friday Eve! This week the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop team was challenged with a theme “Butterflies/Bugs”. I immediately thought of those adorable bees from Stampin’ Up Bee My Valentine Stamp Set. I also got some inspiration from this weeks Global Design Projects: Case the designer.

The card front is a panel of Basic White that I inked up with some Azure Afternoon ink. I stamped the flower from Stampin’ Up Bee My Valentine Stamp Set using Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade ink.

I created the bee with Daffodil Delight and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I punched the bee out using Stampin’ Up Bee Builder Punch. I punched wings from a small piece of Smoky Slate card stock. I adhered the antennas and wings to the back of the bees body using liquid adhesive.

I stamped the bees flight pattern with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I adhered a strip of Azure Afternoon twine from the upcoming Stampin’ Up Pack Your Bags Twine to the card base. I adhered the bee to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the panel to an Azure Afternoon card stock mat before adhering to a Thick Basic White card base. I finish the front off with a few gems from the upcoming Stampin’ Up Neutral Mat Dots.

The inside is a panel of Basic White card stock. I stamped the hexagon beehive pattern in two corners before adhering to an Azure Afternoon mat.
