Happy Friday Eve! Welcome to another week with Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! This week the team was challenged to create a card using a ” Embossing” technique. I am using Stampin’ Up Forever Plaid Embossing Folder.

Here is the challenge:

The card front is a panel of Two Tone Secret Sea DSP. I dry embossed the panel with Stampin’ Up Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. I took a sanding block that I purchased from my local hardware store and roughed up the embossed portions. As you can see, it created a beautiful background for my card. I adhered the panel to a Cloud Cover mat.

I adhered the layers to a Secret Sea card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a piece of Stampin’ Up Gold Striped Ribbon. I cut the edge off each side and frayed the ribbon creating several fine strands. I tied the strands in a knot and adhered them to the card front.

I fussy cut a couple of refreshments and adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a sentiment from Stampin’ Up Cheers & Sips Stamp Set using Secret Sea ink on a piece of Cloud Cover cardstock. I die cut the sentiment with Stampin’ Up Stylish Shape Dies. I adhered the sentiment die cut to the card front.

I finished the front off with a few gems from Stampin’ Up Iridescent Pearls.

The inside is a panel of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Cheers & Sips Stamp Set with Secret Sea ink. I stamped oranges of the bottom corner with Timid Tiger ink. I adhered the stamped panel to a Cloud Cover mat prior to adhering to the Secret Sea card base.
